                            THE TOUR

One sunny morning, a couple by the names of Shelly and Brian decided to take a tour of Boston on their weekend visit. To start their day off, they stopped by Starbucks to get a cup of coffee and a piece of pickle toast which they've heard so much of. "This is a special toast, we import the vegetable from Italy. The owners of it own a farm with organic dirt and vegetable protecting worms." said the employee behind the register. "I think we'll go with that!" said Brian with a smile of excitement.
When the warm round pancake-like toast comes out of the oven, they drizzle a slimey yet sticky vanilla honey flavored syrup over the top of it.
Eating green bread seemed weird to Shelly & Brian. But the sensational taste was heavenly from the first bite.
They went for a walk in the commons, even went on a duck tour. After hours of being out, they worked up quite the appetite
They came across a place with patio furniture where people were dining off of oversized dishes with small servings and sipped wine from glasses made of crystal with gold rimming. "I bet that place is a lot of money!" said Shelly with a discouraging look.
As they kept walking, there were streets and streets of only expensive places with only snobby people. After a block or so, they came across a little place that seemes more comfortable, affortable and laid back.
While waiting for their order to be done, another customer pointed out the smoke coming from the back side of the restaurant. "Everyone get out the kitchen is on fire and the flames are as evil as the ones in hell!" said the owner. "So much for food" said Brian chuckling.
The fire was put out and everyone got their money back. Shelly and Brian just agreed to head back to their hotel room for the night, order room service and relax before anything else went wrong.

Cold Winter Nights

I wake up to the screams of my youngest son and the sound of rain. I look at my watch to see what time it is and that’s when I remember. Yesterday morning it was snowing heavily and I didn’t notice the ice on the floor, I had slipped and fell and as I smack the floor so does my watch on my left wrist and my bracelet also snaps in two. As I walked back home disappointed and angry I had completely forgotten the reason why I left my house in the first place. A note slipping out my left pocket with the words Bottle and Food underlined and capitalized had caught my attention so I rushed back to the store grabbed what I needed and left. Now as the clouds in the sky disappear and the snow turns to sleet, the only thing I can think about in this frantically cold and ominous night, is what do I have to eat in my freezer or fridge because "God, I'm Starving!"

My Life

My kitchen is very clean. Food is never needed incase you’re hungry. When you walk into my kitchen, I always have brown coffee ready for the people that come over. My family loves when I make good coffee. On my kitchen table, there’s a set of red and white roses. Everyday when I wake up for school, I brush my teeth and make sure I eat, So I can have a better understanding on school work especially for reading. I love learning and reading a lot. When I don’t get what I’m reading, I read it over, So I don’t forget. The men and women at my school are really impressed by the way I express myself when it  comes to reading.

My Little Sister

My little sister is using glitter that shines like a gold chain, linked together like a couple.
She puts the glitter on a flat, white piece of paper in the shape of a pizza. She uses orange for the cheese, then she picks up a red marker that is as red as a pair of cherries and adds on the topping of pepperoni that is as round as a pancake. The picture is done. She then states she wishes she had the food she drew to eat.

My Family & I

My cousin knows a tourist who got to meet the President when she went to Washington. She brought her 800-dollar camera to take pictures so that she could later sell them on the internet. My best friend is a model in NYC. She told me a funny story about how the cab driver kept getting lost and ended up not charging her any money. My aunt just got another job as a paramedic; she already works at a funeral doing the make-up for the dead bodies. I don’t understand how she enjoys being around death so much. My wedding is next week, and I’m so excited for everyone to see my matching flowers and ice-cream cake. My sister’s birthday is on the same day. So we all are going to club La’sheesh after to party. I think I’, going to wear my new cheetah Kanye West heels because I know he will be there tonight.

I Am From

I AM FROM

I am from the city of Champs,
where the Clam Chowdah is popular,
I am from the city where the sports fans go hard in the paint,
where the Charles River starts from Hopkinton and it ends at the Harbor,
I am from Boston, but am I really from Boston?
I was born in Boston but those make me from Boston?
I am from an island in the Caribbean,
Were the Puerto Rican flag represents our pride,
My parents are from that island, and my parents conceived me,
I carry their blood so it makes me a part of them,
So I am from were they came from,
They taught me the heritage and spoke about their parents struggles,
My mom died when I was ten and my pops worked two jobs,
So I grew up in the streets those that make me from the school of hard knocks,
I don't know where I am from,
I guess Yo soy de adonde mi hogar esta.

I'm From Me

I'm from where the streets mean to be mean,
to live life til your hearts bleed.
I'm from the last block in Roxbury, where the thugs
are bugs and the G's scream.
I'm from the first floor of the fiends, who live all day
shooting up and the fire alarm yell, waking up my daughter before  i leave.
I'm from here and there like the plastic bag that flows in the wind, and lands in the pool where the lady was found dead on her knees.

I'm from a small place called "HOME" that i share and clean with my BM even though we don't always agree.
I'm from white rice and Spanish beans to red kool-aid and icy treats.
I'm from tattoos and piercings to diaper changing and feeding, not to myself but for my teen who isn't even three.
I'm Puerto Rico, Arroyo and Rio Grande.
I'm from the "BEAN", all day is a fun day, just once a day never everyday.
I'm from where my feelings never get heard due to guns screams and kids fleeing.
I'm from "ME".
